Read the depth figure carefully: 16 cm. That's the measurement that decides this, not the 36 × 36 face. It's a slim bag, so your cat travels curled rather than stretched out, and there isn't room to turn around freely.

That's fine for a short journey with a cat who settles and curls up anyway - which is most cats, most of the time. It isn't right for a large cat, a restless one, or anything longer than a short trip. If your cat needs to stand up and turn around, choose a deeper structured carrier instead.

Care

How is this different from a capsule backpack?
Three things: it carries on your shoulder rather than your back, it uses mesh instead of a clear dome so it stays cooler, and it folds flat for storage. Is shoulder carrying comfortable?
For a small cat over a short distance, yes. All the weight sits on one shoulder though, so for anything longer than about fifteen minutes a backpack-style carrier will treat your back better.

Can my cat escape from it?
The zip closes fully and the side opening has a drawstring. As with any soft carrier, clip your cat's harness to the internal safety strap - that's what stops a bolt when you unzip.

Does it get hot inside?
Much less than a clear-domed carrier. The mesh panel means air moves through rather than sitting still. Standard sense still applies - shade, not direct sun, and never left in a parked car.

Can I use it on a plane?
Airline requirements vary widely and change often. Check your specific airline's published pet carrier specification before booking - the 16 cm depth may work in your favour under a seat, but dimensions and rules differ by carrier.
