This transparent bubble pet backpack replaces the front panel with a clear PVC dome. Your cat or small dog sits inside with a full view out - of you, of the street, of the vet's waiting room - and rides on your back rather than swinging from your hand.

A transparent bubble heats up in direct sunlight. Clear PVC lets light in and traps the warmth it creates - the same effect as a parked car. The side ventilation holes keep air moving, but they don't cancel this out.

So: keep it out of direct sun, don't use it on hot days, and never leave it sitting in a sunny spot or a warm car, even briefly. Cats and flat-faced dogs overheat faster than most owners expect, and they can't tell you it's happening. Check on your animal regularly - the window makes that easy, which is one of the design's genuine advantages.

Used sensibly on cool or mild days, in shade, for short journeys, it's a comfortable way to travel. Used in July sun, no bubble carrier is.

Dimensions

Measure your pet from nose to base of tail, and check they can sit upright without their head pressing the top. If they're at the upper end of the space, they'll be cramped on anything longer than a short trip.

The First Few Trips

Most bad reviews of any carrier come down to the same thing: it was introduced for the first time on the way to the vet. Ten minutes of preparation avoids that.

1. Leave it open on the floor for a few days before you use it. Let them investigate on their own terms.
2. Put something familiar inside - a blanket that smells of home, a favourite toy.
3. Feed a few treats in there with the bag stationary and the zip open.
4. Try a short carry around the house before a real journey.
5. Clip the internal safety strap to their harness every time, and open the zip only somewhere enclosed.

Care

Lift out the base mat and hand wash it; wipe the shell and the PVC dome with a damp cloth and mild soap. Don't use alcohol, solvents or abrasive cleaners on the clear panel - they cloud PVC permanently, and a fogged window defeats the point of the bag. Air dry fully before storing, and store it upright rather than folded so the dome keeps its shape.

What weight can it take?
The internal dimensions are the real limit rather than the strap strength - a pet who can't turn around comfortably is too big for it regardless of what they weigh. Measure your animal against the dimensions above before ordering.

Is it comfortable for the pet?
For a confident animal on a short trip, yes - padded base, air holes, and a view out. For a long journey or a cat who panics in enclosed spaces, no carrier of this size is the right answer.

Will my cat actually tolerate it?
Some cats take to it immediately and sit watching the world. Others want darkness and quiet. You'll know which sort you have from how they behave at the vet - a cat who presses into the back corner of the carrier wants a covered one instead.

Can I use it on a plane?
Airline requirements vary a great deal and change often. Check your specific airline's current dimensions and material rules before booking - most have a published pet carrier specification.

Does the clear panel scratch?
PVC scuffs more easily than glass. Keep it away from keys and rough surfaces in storage, and clean it with a soft cloth rather than anything abrasive.

Is a harness included?
